Role Summary
As a Senior Video Operations Manager in QA’s Creative team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the direction of the video function in the company. This will involve overseeing innovation of filming processes and adoption of new tools, leading short and long-term improvement projects, acting as a point of escalation and representing the team in the wider business.
Role Responsibilities
- Oversee the smooth production of video content on time and within budget and quality parameters
- Oversee cross-functional video work, and partner with marketing, apprenticeships, and other functions to prioritise strategic projects
- Lead on the adoption of new tools and ways of working in the team, and facilitate training on them
- Oversee special projects, including experimental ways of producing AI-enabled content, and collaborate with other teams to implement these solutions
- Act as main point of escalation for video team members and point of contact for other functions regarding video production
- Mentor more junior team members and develop the right skillsets in the team, filling in gaps in projects where necessary
- Manage freelance contractors and the recruitment of new members into the team
- Manage external partnerships related to video operations (e.g. studio hire)
Your Experience/Skills
- Excellent spoken/written communication skills (English), and confidence presenting ideas to stakeholders
- Proactive, collaborative and supportive approach to working with internal and external stakeholders – able to lead discussions and guide others.
- Ability to manage complex workloads, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines, while supporting others to do the same.
- The ability to motivate others to achieve team goals, and proactively develop their skills
- Excellent overall understanding of video workflows and project management frameworks
- Experience across the different phases of video production and familiarity with filming and post-production tools, with ability to intervene in the process if necessary
- Managing people, including managing through times of change
- Successfully managing complex, time-sensitive video projects
