Project Manager (Non Technical) London OR Birmingham based

  • Project Manager within HIGHER EDUCATION   QA Higher Education, London or Birmingham based, initial 6 months fixed term contract.  Hybrid working with some travel mainly to Birmingham and London.   We have recently commenced a major piece of work for our business to apply to be OfS (Office for Students Regulator) registered, and we require the business to be OfS ready within the timescale set.  We are seeking an experienced Project/Change Manager (non-technical) to support the project sponsor and lead the successful delivery of our complex project. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring programme excellence, strategic oversight, and stakeholder alignment across multiple teams. About our role:  As Project Manager you will support the programme, which will include a large degree of project management, supporting the 3 workstream leads with developing requirements and the consequent work packages, project planning, risk management etc, and ensuring the overall plan and project artefacts are pulled together to deadline.   Alongside your experience of managing projects with successful & on budget outcomes, you will ideally hold a relevant Project Management qualification. Here’s some of what’s involved: (click through to view the full JD)  Planning Working with the sponsor, workstream leaders and others to translate the requirements and activities into work packages and an overall project plan; Develop project scope, timelines, and budgets.   Organisation Coordinate tasks, resources, and teams to ensure project execution.   Communication Communicate project progress to stakeholders, including clients, team members, and management.   Resource Management Allocate and manage project resources, including personnel and budgets.   Problem Solving Identify and resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle.   Stakeholder Management Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their satisfaction.  Drive All aspects of the project to ensure that it delivers best results for the business and is aligned to business needs in line with the agreed roadmap. Good IT, ability to use our CRM system, Word and Excel skills a MUST!  NB in general you will be required to work one evening until 9pm per week and on average one Saturday per month   Here’s some of what be doing: (click through to read the full JD)  Support the SASC Team Leaders in ensuring the delivery of an excellent forward facing customer service for all centres.   Log and refer enquiries using various QAHE systems.  Use initiative to resolve queries that have a readily available answer by reference to policy, experience and/or where some discretion can be applied.  Work to specific procedures to ensure a consistent and excellent customer service.  Act as a more knowledgeable team member to resolve non-standard or complex queries or advise when to escalate. Acting as the front-line service for various student support related departments.  Assist in various aspects of the service development as deemed appropriate.  Responsible for ensuring that all enquiries are answered in a timely manner, that referrals are correctly made, and students are receiving consistent information.  Use the Student Portal and FAQs developed within the SASC teams to answer and refer student queries.  To support the enrolment of all new students providing a timely and seamless customer experience.  Bring your experience:  Good administration skills with attention to detail.  Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular, Excel and Word.  Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.  Managing a busy and varied workload, in a pressurised environment, meeting required  deadlines  Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work on own initiative.  #administration  #graduateopportunity  #birmingham #studentsupport  #administrator  #customerservice  #LifeAtQA

Assist in classroom expansions, changes and provisions where necessary. You will work closely with Academics and ACE team members along with the wider staff community to support new and existing applications, systems and departmental projects where required.   Key Responsibilities Conduct regular deployment planning exercises to mitigate or escalate any foreseeable issues Support delivery of projects as requested by line manager Develop skill set in-line with the maintenance requirements to enable support for vendor technologies employed within the business Ensure a professional customer facing attitude and response is maintained at all times. Issues identified are pursued to satisfactory resolution or escalated through line management.
